Colorado’s Favorite Fast Food Restaurants

Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

This Saturday is Fast Food Day, but many of us commemorate it on a weekly basis.

A study by DriveResearch.com shows nearly two-thirds of people hit a quick-service restaurant at least once a week, with more than a third stopping by several times. It’s easy to understand since many families are always on the go shuffling between meetings, school and activities on the evenings and weekends.

Ahead of the big day, BetColorado.com took a lunch break on Colorado sports betting coverage and analyzed the most popular fast food chain restaurants of CO residents by looking at the search results of each chain from 11/07/2023 to 11/07/2024. (NOTE: Coffee chains were excluded from the results)

McDonald's Earns Top Spot in Colorado

The results were not surprising, with McDonald’s, the restaurant that introduced fast food nationwide 70 years ago, topping our search lists.

Did you know that the average person, according to Drive Research, spends nearly $150 each month on fast food? However, men almost spend twice as much ($196) as women ($99). Fast food is more popular for millennials ($214) than any other generation, followed by GenX’ers ($164), GenZ ($120) and Baby Boomers ($59).

So, how can Coloradoans celebrate the day? Obviously, they can swing by their favorite MickeyDs or Chick-fil-A or other fast food joint, or they can even DoorDash it and have the food brought to the house as they watch the Colorado Buffaloes, the No. 18 team in the country, host Utah in a huge Big 12 game. According to Bet365 Colorado Sportsbook, coach Deion Sanders’ team is a 10-point favorite as the Buffaloes seek to move closer to securing a spot in the conference championship game next month.
