Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

When it comes to the perfect pie, there’s no wrong answer, with countless Colorado residents having their pizza topping du jour, running the gamut from classic choices like cheese, pepperoni, and sausage to more dietary-mandated options like vegan slices.

Overall, Colorado’s favorite pizza in 2025 was the age-old standard known as cheese pizza, which finished the period in question with a search interest score of 64 points to nearly triple the next closest contender, which was pepperoni with 23 points.

Celebrated on February 9, National Pizza Day is the perfect way to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday. Which Pizza Topping Do Coloradans Love Most?

Overall, it seems like Colorado residents prefer to keep their pizzas plain, as cheese pizza finished with a resounding search interest score victory in the Centennial State with a score of 64 points, while pepperoni (23 points), vegan pizza (11 points), sausage (nine search interest points) and supreme (four search interest points) rounded out the list in 2025.

Given Colorado’s unique brand of pizza that was created by Chip Blair at Idaho Springs’ pizza shop Beau Jo’s in 1973, it’s no wonder that residents of the Rocky Mountain State have their minds made up on their pizza topping of choice, as the Centennial State has never been afraid of going its own way when it comes to a good slice of pizza pie.
