The weather outside may be frightful in the Centennial State, but that doesn’t mean that Colorado residents aren’t prepared to shower their loved ones with romance come Feb. 14, as the state ranks among the leaders nationally when it comes to search interest totals in the age old holiday known as Valentines Day.
That’s because Colorado posted a search interest score of 26 points during the period in question, notching the fifth highest total when it came to topics related to Cupid’s time to shine, sandwiched between other love-laden hotspots like Oregon, Minnesota, Nevada, Vermont and Washington.

Of the 50 states and Washington D.C. that were surveyed, Colorado’s search interest score of 26 points regarding Valentine’s Day-related subjects ranked fifth overall, one point behind Oregon, Vermont and Washington’s totals of 25 points apiece and one point ahead of Maine, which ranked sixth overall with a score of 27 search interest points.
Nationally, no state had more excitement for Feb. 14 than the island mecca of Hawaii, which finished with a search interest score of 23 points to finish ahead of the trio of states mentioned above, while Minnesota and Nevada tied for seventh place nationally with scores of 29 points apiece, followed by New Hampshire (31 search interest total) and Montana (33 search interest total).
Now that the season of love is officially upon us, it’s safe to say that few parts of the U.S.A. are more excited for the arrival of Cupid than those living in the Centennial State, as Coloradans clearly are interested in Valentine’s Day as a whole in 2025.
