Justin Simmons Free Agent Odds

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

With summer camp on the horizon and NFL teams scrambling to fill out their respective 53-man rosters, it’s a bit of a surprise to see a four-time All-Pro safety still sitting on the market.

That’s exactly what’s happening with two-time Pro Bowler Justin Simmons though, as the 30-year-old veteran remains unsigned after hauling in three interceptions and posting an approximate value of nine in 15 games with the Denver Broncos last season.

Arguably the best available free agent safety in the league, Simmons is still open for consideration for the next NFL season. BetColorado.com developed hypothetical odds to see where Simmons will land for the 2024-25 season. Recently, Simmons has hinted at the possibility of signing with the Miami Dolphins, which many believe would be a great fit for all parties involved.

Who Will Sign Justin Simmons?

Right now, we see a trio of playoff contenders as the frontrunners to sign Simmons this offseason, as the Miami Dolphins (+300), Philadelphia Eagles (+450) and Detroit Lions (+600) are atop our odds board for the veteran safety’s services.

Throw in longshots like the New York Jets (+1450), Tennessee Titans (+1900) and the Las Vegas Raiders (+4050) and you have the full rundown of the NFL franchises that we see being interested in Simmons’ services this offseason.

Whichever team lands Simmons is getting a player that has pulled down 30 interceptions in 118 NFL games to go with an approximate value of 65 and a litany of other eye-popping stats that jump off the page on first glance.

Whether those eye-catching stats are enough to catch the attention of NFL GM’s remains to be seen, though Simmons is the white whale of the NFL’s free agency market as the league preps for training camp to kickoff next month.
