Of the many storylines that caught our eye last year, perhaps the most noteworthy in the Centennial State, was the play of coach Deion Sanders’ sons in Boulder, with the Colorado Buffaloes first-year leader briefly taking the college football world by storm before falling back to earth.
Still, between Deion’s son Shedeur at quarterback, Shilo at safety and daughter Shelomi contributing to CU’s women’s basketball team, there’s no shortage of interest in the trio’s time along the Flatirons.
National Siblings Day is April 10. To celebrate, BetColorado.com, your source for Colorado sports betting coverage, decided to look into who the most famous sibling-athletes in sports. Sanders Family Remains Big Story in Colorado
In Colorado there’s no denying the interest surrounding the Sanders’ impact on the CU athletic department. It should again be a top storyline entering the 2024 football season, with the Buffs transitioning to a new conference. bet365 Colorado lists the team as +3300 to win the Big 12 this season.
While Deion Jr. is long past his playing days, Shedeur enters 2024 on the heels of a 3,230-yard, 27-touchdown campaign. Shilo had 67 tackles and an interception as a senior in 2023. Shelomi averaged 0.6 points and 0.6 rebounds per game as a freshman for the Colorado women’s basketball team this past season.
The Sanders family’s combined search volume of 648,000 was enough to notch the fifth spot overall, beating out Serena and Venus Williams (533,000 search volume) and Peyton and Eli Manning (381,000 search volume).
