It’s been nearly a decade since the Denver Broncos last made it to the NFL postseason, with one winning record since the franchise’s 2015 Super Bowl championship.
Fresh off a disappointing 5-12 campaign that saw coach Nathaniel Hackett fired after one year, the Broncos are back at the forefront of the NFL after hiring Sean Payton as coach.
Looking forward, oddsmakers at BetMGM Colorado are giving the Broncos +200 odds of making the postseason with a win total over-under of 7.5 this season.
Ahead of Denver’s season opener Sept. 10 against Las Vegas Raiders, BetColorado compiled hypothetical odds on when the Broncos’ first loss will come in 2023.
Those odds favor an early loss, which explains why the Broncos Super Bowl odds are +5000.

Broncos Open With Easy Stretch
The Broncos are beneficiaries of a soft opening stretch of the season, playing their first five games against teams that posted a combined record of 33-51-1 in 2022.
Colorado sports betting sites have Denver favored in its season opener against the Raiders, who are looking to replace quarterback Derek Carr after going 6-11 a year ago.
If the Broncos manage to win their first game, they’ll likely have a tougher time the following week, with the 8-8-1 Washington Commanders coming to Denver in Week 2.
That’s why we give Denver its best odds (+150) of earning its first loss of 2023 against Washington, with the Broncos next five games featuring losing odds of +450, +4500 and +9000.
Broncos fans sure hope 2023 is the year they put it all together, avoiding a similar fate as last year’s 5-12 faceplant.
