While the champaign stains have yet to dry in the Ball Arena locker rooms, we’re already fast approaching the opening tip of the 2023-24 NBA regular season.
That means the Denver Nuggets, fresh off the franchise’s first NBA title, will be tasked with trying to become the first team since the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018 to repeat as champion. Unsurprisingly, given Denver’s run through the playoffs last season and its popularity in Colorado sports betting market, it’s safe to say the Nuggets are among the most talent-laden teams in the NBA.
With NBA 2K24 now out, BetColorado.com utilized 2Kratings.com to see which teams have the most star power, with players of 85-plus overall.

Some of the best online Colorado sports betting apps list the Nuggets as the run-away favorites in the Northwest Division this year at -450 odds. Oklahoma City is second at +600.
Nuggets Still Behind in Star Power
The Nuggets wound up with two players ranked 85 or higher in this year’s 2K video game, in two-time MVP Nikola Jokic and veteran guard Jamal Murray. Leaguewide, Denver ranked in a tie for sixth, talent wise, with 10 other teams when it came to star power — joining seven other Western Conference foes with two players on the 2K24 list.
More importantly for Nuggets fans, Denver is currently listed in a tie with the Boston Celtics as the title favorite on BetMGM Colorado at +475, with the top Western Conference championship odds (+240). Jokic and the Nuggets will look to carry the banner into 2024 on Oct. 24, when the Nuggets host the L.A. Lakers on national television to open the regular season.
