It’s been nearly 70 years since the last Colorado college team played in the men’s Final Four, but that doesn’t stop countless basketball fans in the Centennial State from firing up the TV and watching the national semifinals each April.
Even without the Buffs of Colorado or the Rams of Colorado State, who lost in the first two rounds of this year’s event, Colorado basketball fans — and Colorado sports betting fans — have a vested interest in the Final Four.
That’s because Alabama, N.C. State, Purdue and UConn all have some semblance of a connection to the Centennial State. The Crimson Tide look for their first title ever, while N.C. State looks to earn its first title in 31 years, and Purdue aims for its first title since capturing the Premo-Porretta title in 1932.
BetColorado.com used Google Trends search interest scores to compare the state’s search volume for each of the four remaining teams in Men’s March Madness. These results were tracked on a scale of 1-100 and from the start of March Madness (March 18) through April 1.
