Our Colorado sportsbook promos are in heavy use with the NFL regular season underway. It’s time to wonder which starting quarterback in the 32-team league will soon be out of a job.
Whether it be a veteran placeholder like Jacoby Brissett of the New England Patriots or Gardner Minshew II of the Las Vegas Raiders or a player on the wrong end of their career like Deshaun Watson or Daniel Jones, there’s no shortage of options when it comes to the next QB to ride the pine in 2024.
With that in mind, BetColorado.com used our Colorado sports betting mindset to develop some hypothetical odds on which NFL starting quarterback will soon no longer hold such a distinction, with the aforementioned players all ranking on this week’s list.
Quarterback | Odds | Percent Chance |
Jacoby Brissett (Patriots) | +305 | 24.7% |
Will Levis (Titans) | +400 | 20.0% |
Gardner Minshew II (Raiders) | +400 | 20.0% |
Deshaun Watson (Browns) | +900 | 10.0% |
Daniel Jones (Giants) | +1250 | 6.3% |
Trevor Lawrence (Jaguars) | +1500 | 6.3% |

The Week 5 frontrunners to get sacked include Brissett (+305), Minshew (+400), Watson (+900) and Jones (+1250), speaking to the harsh realities that come with being listed at QB1 in the NFL.
Brissett got a win in Week 1 with the Patriots but was held to 121 passing yards and no touchdowns in New England’s 16-10 upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Queen City. Things have deteriorated in the past three weeks, with losses to the Seahawks at home, a brutal blowout "Thursday Night Football" loss to the Jets and then another loss to the 49ers in San Francisco.
In Sin City, Minshew looked lost in a home blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, and he was replaced towards the end of the game by second-year pro Aidan O'Connell. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce took his team to task in media availability after the game, though it was unclear how much of the frustration was directed at Minshew. For what it's worth, Minshew helped the Raiders bounce back in Week 4 for a win over Watson's Browns, though he only threw for 130 yards and no touchdowns.
Other candidates to get benched include Tennessee Titans second-year QB Will Levis, now listed at +400. The Titans (0-3) have yet to score more than 17 points in a game this season, and first-year coach Brian Callahan has already voiced frustration with Levis' lack of ball security. Something to keep an eye on as the Titans prepare to take on the Dolphins on Monday night.
