Who Drafts Shedeur Sanders?

Right now, our top pick to land Sanders out of CU is the Steelers at No. 21, which would be quite the fall for the QB who some think could go as early as No. 2 to the Browns. But falls aren't always a bad thing, and Sanders playing for future Hall of Fame coach Mike Tomlin could be a blessing in disguise rather than going to a less-proven franchise.

The New York Giants, who check in at +300  to draft the former Jackson State and Buffaloes star, have the pick following the Browns, though they added both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this off-season. They appear to think Sanders is either going to Cleveland, or isn't a match for the N.Y. market.

There’s also a shot that Sanders falls to ninth overall to the New Orleans Saints, who hold +350 odds of landing the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner, while the holders of the top pick in the event (the Tennessee Titans) are among the teams within "The Field" on our list at +900.

Whichever team lands Deion’s son gets a player who showcased his exceptional skill at completing passes under duress, with Sanders completing 74% of his passes for CU in 13 games during the 2024 campaign, finishing eighth in the Heisman Trophy race and cementing himself as one of the most talented QBs to come through Boulder along the way.

It seems like a sure thing to pencil Sanders’ name in somewhere in the NFL Draft’s opening round come April 24.
