As the searing heat of summer gives way to the foliage and frost of fall, it’s time to remember the glitz and glory that comes from college football betting in Colorado, which kicks off in earnest later this month.
In the Centennial State, three FBS programs (Air Force, Colorado and Colorado State) will do their best to reach the 12-team CFP in 2024, with the Falcons being the only one of the three to post a winning record in 2023, going 9-4 under legendary head coach Troy Calhoun.
This fall, oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook Colorado give Air Force and CSU the highest win total over/under in the state, at 6.5 apiece, while the Buffs’ are listed at 5.5 on the CFB odds board.
In anticipation of college football, BetColorado.com used Google Trends to see which metro area is most excited for “college football,” based on search interest scores between July 24 –31, 2024. And go ahead and bookmark our Colorado Buffaloes Football Betting Guide while you're at it.
Rank | Metro Area | Score |
1 | Colorado Springs | 100 |

In Colorado, it seems that the hometown of the Air Force Academy is ready for the Falcons to kick off their 2024 campaign, with Colorado Springs posting a perfect search interest score of 100. The Springs beat out fellow Southern Colorado metropolis Pueblo on the Colorado CFB leaderboard, as the Steel City of the Centennial State had a total score of 95 to finish ahead of Denver’s 88 statewide.
Throw in Western Slope hamlets like Grand Junction (77 search interest score) and Montrose (56 search interest score) and you have the full list of Colorado towns that are ready for some college football.
Whether they pull for “Coach Prime” and the Buffs’, Jay Norvell and the Rams or Calhoun and the Falcons, Colorado residents have their fair share of CFB success stories to choose from this fall.
Now, it’s high time for those three to get the pigskin flying, with CU hosting FCS powerhouse North Dakota State, CSU heading to Austin to play Texas and Air Force hosting Merrimack, with all three slated to kick off at various points of the day on Aug. 31.
