Which Christmas Songs Made The Cut?

When broken down by search interest totals, Bing Cosby pulls out the slightest of wins in Colorado, with his 1942 classic “White Christmas” scoring 14 points in Colorado to beat out “Jingle Bell Rock” (13 search interest score) and Eartha Kit’s 1953 classic “Santa Baby,” which finished the year with a search interest score of 10 points in the Rocky Mountain State.

Rounding out the Colorado quintet of holiday jams for the year, search interest score wise, were “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Carey, which scored eight points, while “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee was fifth with a search interest score of five points in Colorado this year.

Of the five, only Carey’s 1990’s Christmas song can be termed anything close to “modern,” while the state’s other top picks for the holiday season this year all date back to either the post-war or wartime periods of the 1940s and 1950s, with the oldest song of the bunch taking home top honors in Colorado this Christmas.
